The diver-friendly beaches of the Bay of Plenty are perfect for a lazy day out spearfishing or diving from one of our rental sit-on-top kayaks. There's a great local spot off the main beach for spearo's that can be reached easily from a kayak. Have a great day out on the water and bring home a fish for dinner!

Never used a kayak before? No problem! We can arrange pick-up and drop-off of your kayak, and a short instruction session or guided tour if you prefer.

Our dive guides are all PADI, SSI or NAUI trained dive professionals, with a minimum of one full summer season's experience hands-on working with our instructors and skippers. If you need local orientation to our dive sites, or just want a buddy to stay alongside, we can find just the right guide for the job!

We have classes running now in our indoor salt-water heated pool so now's the time to view class details and register your child for their first swim or scuba lessons with us. As children progress through the program, they are given the option to learn snorkeling, freediving, or scuba diving as their first aquatic sport! (40 week program)

We will host several special charters for our international visitors during the Rugby World Cup 2011. On board South Sea Vagabond, a luxury 18m catamaran you will enjoy a short harbour tour, a delicious two-course saloon brunch prepared by our staff, and guided dives of Motiti Island and the wreck of the M.V. Taioma. Full gear hire is available at no extra charge, and Nitrox tanks are available for EANx certified divers. Each trip is limited to only 10 divers. Bookings well in advance are advised.
