Many of the New Zealand animals are not found in any other countries in the world. There are no native mammals apart from bats and marine mammals such as seals and dolphins. NZ does however, have an abundance of unique native birds, lizards, frogs, fish, and insects.

Trouble bubbled to the surface quickly when a dive gear wholesaler began setting up for a sale in New Plymouth.

Dive HQ, a nationwide chain, is holding the sale which runs until noon today at a shop in Devon St East offering heavily reduced prices on all dive gear.

I moved to New Zealand approximately a year ago. Since than I haven’t managed to get out diving once. This upsets me as when back in my home country of England I dived at least twice a month. Some of my diving was simple, run of the mill stuff while some was more challenging and technical upto 100 metres.

Wow! It's been a helluva season, and we're pretty much exhausted from it - but it's been a good one. You haven't seen us online as often as we should have been, and we've neglected the blogs and postings that we used to do so regularly. Made heaps of new friends over summer though and introduced so many new people to diving we reckon we should be looking to set a new record.
